During a recent celebration of the arts at Meadowcreek U, close to 500 students in the School of Communication and Arts learned what it takes to be successful in careers in those fields in a Q&A session with industry experts and up-and-coming musicians, dancers, and actors. The event was part of the High School Nation Tour, a 25-state tour to promote the arts in public schools, showcasing music appreciation and highlighting careers in journalism, film, fine arts, fashion, photography, and dance. More than 2,000 Meadowcreek students participated in festival events, with more than 100 booths and activities, including interactive zones that focused in music, art, and style. Festival sponsors High School Nation and Takis also donated $10,000 to college and career academy programs at the school.
