Earlier this month, GCPS Chief Financial Officer Rick Cost received his profession’s highest honor from the Georgia Association of School Business Officials (GASBO). In endorsing Mr. Cost’s nomination for GASBO’s 2015 Outstanding School Business Official, GCPS CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks said that Mr. Cost is a leader whose vision, expertise, and commitment to financial stewardship have made a difference in Gwinnett and across the state. Rick Cost has been the school district’s CFO since 2006. He recently announced that he will retire in December.
