On March 26, Peachtree Ridge High School will host GCPS’ 10th annual Transition Fair for students with disabilities, their families, and educators. Set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event will provide information about community services and resources for people who have disabilities and may need assistance as they transition to adulthood. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with local agency representatives regarding various options available for school-aged students as well as transitional services to post-school activities and employment. Representatives from more than 60 agencies will talk to families about employment support, residential services, day programs, recreation and leisure, funding, and community resources. Starting at 9:30 a.m., breakout sessions will cover topics including employment and vocational training, community activities, and self-advocacy.
