This summer, Gwinnett middle schoolers can explore possible careers with summer camps at Grayson High School Technical Education Program and Maxwell High School of Technology. The camps for both schools are scheduled for May 31 to June 3. In the Maxwell camp, sessions are offered in the morning only, with these programs: Architectural Design, Automotive Services, Cake Decorating, Collision Repair, Construction, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Electronics, Fire Services, Graphic Communications, Law and Justice, Programming, and Science Camp. Current students in grades 6-8 should register for the Maxwell camp online by May 6. At Grayson, current GCPS students in grades 5-8 can learn about a selected career in a morning or an afternoon session or attend two sessions in the full-day option. Programs include Culinary Arts, Digital Media, Disease Detectives, Information Technology, Music Production, Photography, Sports Medicine, Vet Science, and Video Production. May 13 is the registration deadline for the Grayson camp. Food service and transportation are not provided for either camp.
