It's not too late to buy tickets for the 7th annual induction ceremony for the Gwinnett County Sports Hall of Fame on May 6. University of Georgia Football Coach Kirby Smart will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony to honor five elite Gwinnett County athletes and coaches. All proceeds benefit the student scholarship fund of the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund.
The Class of 2016 inductees are Jocelyn Penn (Meadowcreek HS, basketball), Coach Mike Emery (retired GCPS Athletic Director), Juan Daniels (Norcross HS, football), Coach Cliff Ramos (Collins Hill HS, wrestling), and Mulberry ES Teacher Brittany Rogers Mayweather (Dacula HS, softball). All proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships benefit the student scholarship fund of the Gwinnett County Public Schools Foundation Fund.
