During Constitution Week, Jones MS and community partners came together in the spirit of our country's motto to celebrate the Promise of our students. Principal Memorie Reesman says the day gave both students and community members an opportunity to become partners in The Promise of Gwinnett. She says, "We celebrated our differences, reflected on how we fit together to form our community, and identified positive contributions we can make together!" Jones students were greeted at the start of the school day by representatives from the Gwinnett County School Police, Gwinnett County Fire Department/EMT Station 29, and the Georgia State Patrol. And the Gwinnett County Police Aviation Unit dropped— by helicopter— to share real-world STEM applications with the school's engineering students. "E pluribus unum"— meaning “Out of many, one”— is a key element in the Gwinnett County Board of Education's Core Beliefs and Commitments.
