When it comes to student success, we’re all in this together— families, school and district staff, and the community.
We’re pleased to partner with parents, our students’ “first teachers,” knowing that families play an important role in preparing their child for a lifetime of learning. And we know that having a great teacher in the classroom is a critical part of the student success story.
However, we can’t continue to pursue our vision of becoming a system of world-class schools without our principals, the school-based leaders tasked with improving achievement, cultivating a culture of student success, and helping staff members to grow professionally.
October is National Principal Month, but the quality-plus leaders in our schools deserve some year-round kudos!
We take this opportunity to salute the contributions of our school leaders and their dedication, hard work, and leadership. In the coming weeks and months, we hope you’ll take a moment to let your child’s principal know how much you appreciate what they do to make sure your child has a welcoming school, strong teachers, and innovative opportunities to learn and grow.

Or go on social media to say “thanks” with a post or tweets and a hashtag that celebrates the Promise of our school leaders.
