Tabby Titan-- the kitty cat mascot of Baggett ES-- has some help in encouraging students to do their best and display positive character traits. Baggett's administrative team, led by Dr. Charlotte Sadler, has a positive following for its Pawsitively Purrfect video series. The school leaders make several videos each year… encouraging students to do their best, promoting school spirit, and reinforcing positive behavior. The videos are shown periodically at the end of the school day and the songs are performed “live” at schoolwide academic assemblies. “This was a great way to build relationships with students while creating motivating messages,” says Dr. Sadler, who brought the idea from her previous school. She and the school’s assistant principals perform in the videos, which are taped with help from the school’s media specialist and local school technology coordinator and some musical assistance from Dr. Sadler’s husband.
