Support professionals are essential partners in public education, working behind the scenes to support our students’ success. From the moment our students are greeted by their driver at the bus stop to the wave goodbye at the end of the school day, our transportation staff is doing its part. Tasty and nutritious meals prepared by our school nutrition staff ensure that kids aren’t trying to learn on an empty stomach. A clean and orderly learning environment is the work of our custodial staff, with support from district personnel. School resource officers keep schools safe, act as mentors, and educate on safety issues. Paraprofessionals assist teachers in the classroom, supporting teaching and learning. Our office staff members and parent coordinators keep our school humming along and help families connect with their child’s school. School nurses, social workers, and counselors work to remove barriers to learning. We salute Gwinnett’s support professionals and thank them for their commitment to our students and their promising futures!
