Head ES is asking for your help as the school competes for a $60,000 grant to foster literacy and promote critical thinking through its media center. The Follett Challenge recognizes unique and inventive K-12 programs that use creativity and technology to connect students to the curriculum.
As part of its entry, the school submitted a short video called "The Magical Media Center" to promote the program and the 21st century skills students learn through media center programs to be prepared for life. Viewers can vote for their favorite video daily during voting (Jan. 23-27). Students (13 and older) who have an email address also can vote. Ten People's Choice winners will receive $8,000 in products and services. Two semifinalists will receive a $30,000 prize, and the Grand Prize winner earns $60,000.
