Is technology on your student’s wish list this gift-giving season? How about a personal device that your student could use in the classroom to enhance learning? In Gwinnett County Public Schools, more and more instructional activities can be enhanced when students bring their own personal devices (cell phones, tablets, laptops, etc.) to class as part of GCPS' Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative. Check out this comparison chart that looks at features and recommended uses by school level. BYOD allows students to "power up" their learning and safely expands the walls of our classrooms to increase learning opportunities. Through our eCLASS initiative, all Gwinnett schools have received a wireless Internet upgrade to support local school BYOD initiatives. GCPS encourages students to take advantage of the school system’s BYOD policy, but participation is not required. eCLASS is Gwinnett's digital Content, Learning, Assessment and Support System.
