It may not be featured on HGTV, but the Osborne MS Media Center is undergoing a major transformation. The remodeling of the media center is part of a project-based learning event involving 8th grade students in an Introduction to Technology and Engineering class. The students submitted design ideas, with the winning design selected in December 2015. A generous donation from the school's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) has helped pay for new soft seating chairs, adjustable mobile nesting instructional tables, mobile nesting instructional chairs, circulation desk stools, benches, and a glass board. The school also has been able to purchase additional books for the Media Center collection. The major work was completed last summer but the remodel is not finished yet. The school has plans to create two new collaboration stations (project tables with collaboration monitors and hubs), and add new signage, tablet kiosks for student check in, lap top tables, and more new books to make the school’s collection more current.
