Brookwood HS Media Specialist Jan Wilson can add Hero of Collaboration to recent honors she’s earned, including district, region, and Georgia Media Specialist of the Year. The national recognition from Scholastic Library Publishing honors Ms. Wilson for “great collaboration skills, teaming with a teacher, staff, administrators, or community members at the local or district level—all toward benefiting students.” From her work converting the school media center into a “learning commons” to this summer’s launch of the GCPS Book Mobile, Ms. Wilson is establishing partnerships and working with colleagues and the community to support kids and their learning.
