Hurry and register for the 4th annual Concussion Baseline Day, set for Saturday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to noon at Brookwood HS, Norcross HS, and North Gwinnett HS, with additional locations and times around the county. The school locations will accept appointments for students, ages 12 and up. Pediatric testing (ages 5-11) is available at selected locations, including several branches of the Gwinnett County Public Library.
At the free event, participants will learn about concussions, complete the baseline testing, and finish with an informative Q&A session.
Concussions can happen, anytime, anywhere, and to anyone. Having a baseline of how a young person’s brain functions normally helps doctors better diagnose a concussion and create a more effective treatment plan. GCPS works proactively to help its student-athletes recover from a concussion. In this video, see why students who compete with Gwinnett school teams complete baseline testing before their season begins.
Appointments for testing are still available. Learn more about the event, presented by GCPS and Gwinnett Medical Center's Concussion Institute.
