Gwinnett high school students can catch up or get ahead with summer classes. Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) offers high school students, including rising 9th graders, two ways to learn for credit this summer:
Face-to-face summer classes (June 11–July 3) will be offered at three locations— Discovery HS, Mountain View HS, and South Gwinnett HS. Online registration for face-to-face classes opens March 15. Students may register online for face-to-face summer classes through June 4, or register in person from 4 to 7 p.m. on June 4 at Discovery HS (1335 Old Norcross Rd. in Lawrenceville). Face-to-face classes meet on a Monday-to-Friday schedule. Find course offerings and frequently asked questions on the face-to-face summer school website.
Online summer classes (June 11–July 3) will be offered through Gwinnett Online Campus (GOC). Registration for online classes is open through June 3. Online summer classes will follow a five-day week, Monday through Friday. Find course offerings and frequently asked questions online, along with registration information on the GOC website. Note: For students taking PE, a mandatory fitness pre-test will be held on June 7 or June 11 at GOC, located at 713 Hi Hope Road in Lawrenceville; OR students may choose the self-testing option.
