Each year, GCPS conducts a Child Find meeting for the families of children with disabilities (birth to age 21) who are currently enrolled in private or home school programs in Gwinnett County, and may benefit from special education and related services available through the school system's Department of Special Education and Psychological Services. This year, a drop-in informational meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 4, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Central Gwinnett Room (2.111) in Building 200 of the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center, located at 437 Old Peachtree Road NW in Suwanee. Attendees will receive information about possible services available through the school system to support students with disabilities. Families unable to attend and those with questions may call or email (click name) Denise Hudson in GCPS’ Office of Compliance at 678-301-7104, or one of the district’s parent mentors— Jackie McNair at 678-301-7149 or Dawn Albanese at 678-301-7212.
