We believe in the Promise of Gwinnett, and that Promise is kept every day by the nearly 12,000 teachers in GCPS classrooms. During Teacher Appreciation Week (May 7-11) and on National Teacher Day (May 8), we salute our dedicated teaching corps!
Want to show your appreciation? Go social!
- Make a video or take a photo of yourself with a sign thanking a teacher who has made a difference in your life or your child’s life. Make your own sign or download this sign with the #ThankAGCPSTeacher hashtag.
- Share your message of appreciation on your favorite social media platform using the hashtag #ThankAGCPSTeacher. Make sure to tag the district (@GwinnettSchools) on Twitter and add GwinnettSchools on your Facebook post.
- We’ll be gathering some of those “thank you” posts for a slideshow for the end of the school year.
Gwinnett’s committed and caring teachers believe in our students and help to broaden their horizons, remove barriers to learning, and pave the way to success for all students. GCPS educators teach knowledge and skills for 21st century learners, encourage our students to dream big, expand the walls of the classroom through innovation, and nurture dreamers and doers in our schools.
On a daily basis, our teachers demonstrate the power of public education to make a difference in the lives of our students, making a positive impact on the future of Gwinnett County, our state, and our nation.
So, this week, give a shout out to teachers, and let your teachers, past and present, know how they make a difference in your life and the life of your student!
How will you “Thank a Teacher” this week?
