Last month, a troupe from The Atlanta Opera performed a bilingual adaptation of “The Barber of Seville” at several Gwinnett schools. During the special performances, elementary students in the district’s Dual Language Immersion program got to experience operatic theater in both English and Spanish as Figaro, a bilingual barber, used his skills to help English-speaking Almaviva win the heart of Spanish-speaking Rosina. In this “Focus Moment” video from GCPS TV, see how this interactive performance sparked connections for children at Camp Creek ES. @TheAtlantaOpera
