In April, the Gwinnett County Board of Education will go on the road for the remaining Area Board Meetings. The meetings are a time for the School Board to share information with the public. They also are an opportunity to hear CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks’ annual address on the state of the school district, focusing on the district’s strategic direction, recent successes, and new initiatives. Using their smartphone, tablet, or laptop to access an interactive mobile website, audience members are encouraged to participate in a Q&A session with the Board and Superintendent on the information shared.
The 2019 Area Board Meetings are organized by cluster. However, citizens may attend any one of the meetings. All meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the host school’s theater, with refreshments served at 6:15 p.m.
Here is the schedule for the remaining three meetings, (the March meetings are in gray).
