To better prepare our students for a smooth transition from school to college and career, the district hosts the annual Career Connections event to promote career awareness. This year’s event is set for Oct. 22. More than 5,000 9th grade students from the district’s seven College and Career Academy high schools will learn about career fields through “show and tell” interviews and activities with community members from across the career spectrum. Prospective exhibitors can find more information about the event and a sign-up form on the Academy web page. There’s no cost for exhibitors to participate in the event.
