While our graduates have much to celebrate with the close of the school year, they aren’t the only GCPS students who are reaching important milestones and celebrating another year of learning!
Gwinnett 5th graders and 8th graders are looking ahead to the day when they become middle and high school students respectively. While it may be bittersweet for our students to say goodbye to their elementary or middle school— especially during these uncertain times— schools have found ways to observe traditions that celebrate these rites of passage. From virtual ceremonies to drive-in and drive-by celebrations at schools and in neighborhoods, our students and their families and teachers at all levels have had a chance to share these special moments together (even when they have to keep their physical distance).
Congratulations to our rising 6th and 9th graders, and our high school graduates!
