If you’re a junior, you can earn scholarships from $500 to $40,000 by completing simple college planning steps that you're already doing. This program is open to high school juniors (class of 2022), regardless of citizenship status, and doesn't require an essay, application, or minimum GPA. Students with an annual family income below $60,000 get double the chances to earn scholarships.
Get started by going to cb.org/bigfuture and taking the first step in planning for college… making a starter list of six colleges you’re interested in. Students have until June 30 to complete this first step and earn a chance for a $500 scholarship. Students who complete all six steps will be eligible for the next $40,000 Complete Your Journey scholarship, which will be awarded in spring 2022.
Class of 2022 students earn a chance to win $500 for each step they complete. Complete all six steps for a chance to win the big prize… a $40,000 Complete Your Journey Scholarship. The six steps are:
1. Build Your College List: Explore colleges and make a start list of six schools.
2. Practice for the SAT: Use Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy® to get ready for test day.
3. Explore Scholarships: Find scholarships and other aid to help pay for college.
4. Strengthen Your College List: Include a mix of reach, match, and safety schools.
5. Complete the FAFSA: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
6. Apply to Colleges: Apply to two or more colleges.
