The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) is seeking public feedback as it develops its plan for funds received through the American Rescue Plan (ARP), the third COVID-19 relief bill. This feedback applies specifically to the funds received by GaDOE to address statewide learning loss and other needs, not to the funding allocated to individual school districts.
Interested Georgians—including students, families, educators, and community members—can provide feedback via email to ARP_ESSER@doe.k12.ga.us by May 19. Please consider answering the following questions in your email:
What are the top two to three issues currently facing students, schools, or subgroups of students (identify subgroups) as a result of, or in response to, the COVID-19 pandemic?
What strategies, actions, or promising practices has your school, district, or organization observed to be most effective in supporting student needs in response to the COVID-19 pandemic?
How can GaDOE better support students, families, and schools for the safe return to in-person instruction and continuity of services?
GaDOE will take this feedback into account as it develops plans for the use of ARP funds. For more information, click here.
