State School Superintendent Richard Woods is seeking public school students in grades 10-12 to serve on his 2021-22 Student Advisory Council. Council members will meet with Superintendent Woods to discuss the impact of state policies in the classroom, along with other issues related to education, and will serve as the Superintendent’s ambassadors to their respective schools. Students must apply by Sept. 1 at 5 p.m. Council members will be announced Sept. 17. The first meeting will be held Oct. 21 (in-person), with additional meetings set for early December (virtual), Jan. 25 (in-person), and March 10 (in-person). Applicants must be enrolled in a Georgia public high school for either virtual or in-person instruction.
