Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is looking for talented candidates to join its award-winning team for the 2022-23 school year and is offering thousands of dollars in financial incentives to new hires for teaching positions, including an increase in the incentive amount for special education teachers.
The district is offering a one-time incentive* for the following positions:
Special Education Teacher (Severe), $6,000
Special Education Teacher (Mild, Interrelated Resource), $5,000
Speech Language Pathologist, $6,000
Math and Science Teacher, $4,000
Computer Science/Engineering teacher, $4,000
Bilingual Teacher, $4,000
General Title I Teacher, $4,000
General Teacher, $3,000
*A new teacher for the 2022-23 school year is eligible to receive one incentive. If a teacher qualifies for more than one incentive, the incentive with the highest dollar amount will be awarded
To earn the full incentive for a designated position, a teacher must:
Be a new teacher hired to GCPS for the 2022-23 school year;
Be hired for the 2022-23 school year and not previously hired for a full or partial year;
Complete the 2022-23 school year; and sign a contract for the 2023-24 school year.

School-based Teacher Career Fairs: Shiloh MS will host a fair on April 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. Gwinnett Online Campus is holding a fair for special education teachers April 29–30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Educator Connect Events: Pre-registered teaching candidates can interview at upcoming Educator Connect events from 1 to 3 p.m. on May 12 and June 15, and from 4 to 6 p.m. on May 26 and June 30.
