During National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6) and on National Teacher Day (May 3), we salute Gwinnett’s talented and dedicated teaching corps. Our teachers are the heart of Team GCPS!
Gwinnett’s 12,000+ educators guide students throughout their K-12 education journey, tailoring the learning experience to our students’ needs. Our teachers help to ensure that each and every child learns, grows, and thrives…during their school years and beyond!
This week, please take a moment to let your child’s teachers, past and present, know how they have made a difference in the life of your student! (See the box to the right to learn how to send an eCard or download a Thank You sheet to print at home.)
How will you “Thank a Teacher” this week?

Send an eCard or handwritten note
Now, more than ever, your thanks, encouragement, and celebration of GCPS staff members is a meaningful way to show how much our community values public education and appreciates those who have helped our students this school year. On the Team GCPS web page, families can find two ways to send employees a special note of appreciation as we approach the end of the school year:
Say thank you with an eCard! Select one of five designs and complete the eCard submission form.
Send a handwritten note! Download printable thank you sheets.
Celebrate with social media: Share a “Thank You!” post on your social media accounts, using these hash tags… #TeamGCPS, #ThankATeacher, and #ThankAGCPSTeacher.
