“Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Since Congress designated the federal observance of the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as a national day of service in 1994, members of our community and volunteers around the state and nation have committed to serve others on MLK Day. Observed on Jan. 20 this year, the 25th anniversary of MLK Day is a time to unite Americans of all ages and backgrounds to build stronger communities. Commit to be of service to others on MLK Day and throughout the year. You can find service opportunities through the Corporation for National and Community Service. (Register your own project to recruit volunteers.)
